1. Product Introduction

Acoustic Doppler velocimeter is a flow velocity and flow rate detection instrument applied to rivers, open channels and pipelines. It adopts ultrasonic detection technology, with high measurement accuracy, good stability, less affected by environmental factors, no rotating parts, low maintenance frequency, and high working reliability. It is the preferred product for portable flow velocity and flow rate measurement.

Principle: In the field of acoustics, when there is a relative motion between the sound source and the receiving body (i.e. the probe and the reflector), the frequency of the echo will change, this frequency change is called frequency shift, i.e. the Doppler effect. The sound wave frequency increases when it moves towards the observer and decreases when it moves away from the observer. The Doppler flow meter calculates the flow rate by calculating the frequency change.

Six, Use Requirements

1. The gas guiding cable contains a gas guide pipe, which cannot be overly bent to prevent it from breaking; never use the gas guiding cable as a rope for the Doppler flow meter, dragging the Doppler flow meter with the gas guiding cable;

2. The circular ultrasonic transducer in front of the probe cannot be impacted or scratched;

3. The instrument probe should avoid being exposed to the sun for a long time to prevent too high a temperature from causing a fault;

4. The acoustic doppler current meter should be regularly cleaned of silt on the ultrasonic transducer and pressure sensor in areas of high suspended sediment concentration to prevent the silt from blocking the pressure sensor.
